Due to the recent expansion of our product portfolio, we are looking for two dedicated individuals for the position of sales representative for our Limassol Cyprus office.

Job Description

The Chemical Engineer will be skilled in all aspects of chemical engineering including maritime works and specification. Also have hands-on experience in making sure that standards of quality are met. Proven ability to use applied knowledge and problem-solving skills.

He/She will have direct responsibility for solving the practical problems in the proposed solutions for paints and chemicals, applications on ships, for the company’s represented products. Also in overall charge of the sales and promotion of the products portfolio within Cyprus merchant marine market.

Job Responsibilities

• Attending customers meeting for the promotion of all related chemical and paints products.
• Estimating specification cost reports and offers.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with other members of the sales team.
• Involved in researching ways to develop new and improved chemical representation.
• Providing technical expertise, leadership and direction to various work groups, and customers.
• Developing strict safety guidelines are making sure they are adhered to.
• Involved in building small-scale models and stock points.
• Interacting with regulatory agencies and authorized inspectors to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• B.Sc in Chemical Engineering or MSc in any related field
• Certificate of membership of any chemical engineering regulatory body (necessary)
• Certificate of training’s attended (not necessary)
• Work experience in a Paint or Chemical manufacturing company (necessary)

Requirements.

• Familiarity with all process design safety requirements.
• Possessing an excellent team spirit and capable of interacting effectively with others.
• Experience in Microsoft Office.
• Comprehensive understanding of government and industry related rules and regulations.
• Extensive experience of selling and applying marine chemical processes.
• Knowledge of both chemical and marine engineering environment.
• Able to work in cross-functional projects.
• Experience on ships paints specifications and chemicals for ships.
• Able to perform predictive and root cause analysis of problems and then initiate corrective action.
• Flexible handling a variety of tasks and shift priorities simultaneously.
• Can work independently and in a team environment.
• Enjoy solving problems.
• Attention to detail.
